Smoking Safety

Smoking is the number one cause of all home fire deaths. Smoke outdoors and be sure to properly extinguish cigarettes with water.

Cigarette fires cause close to 1,000 deaths and 3,000 injuries each year in the united states, according to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). As the ignition source in fires responsible for over 20% of all fire deaths, cigarettes are the nations largest single cause of such deaths.

Smoking is the most common cause of fire fatalities. Few safety tips are here

Avoid leaving vapes on charge overnight.
Never use a damaged e-cigarette.
Never vape close to medical oxygen.
Use proper ashtrays, which can’t tip over and stub cigarettes out properly.
Keep matches and lighters out of children’s reach, and buy child-resistant lighters.
Never smoke in bed, and avoid smoking on arm chairs and sofas – especially if you think you might fall asleep.
